Paul Madura

Paul is a retired Senior Vice President of a leading grocery retailer in San Antonio, Texas, where he worked for 30 years (20 of them as an officer). A 40 year industry veteran, Paul grew up in Chicago and began his retail career as a bagger, quickly growing to hold a variety of management positions.

In 1974, Paul graduated from Western Michigan University with a BBA in General Business. He completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 1977. The following year, he joined a large grocery retail business when its total revenues were just $750M and employee head count was 7,500. In his 30 years there, he has enjoyed experiencing the challenges associated with growing to a $16B company with over 75,000 employees.

Paul held leadership positions in Store Management, District Management, Regional Management, Corporate Store Development, and Operational Efficiency and Human Resources. In 2001, he was inducted in the WMU’s Haworth College of Business Marketing Hall of Fame.

He and his wife, Debbie, reside near San Antonio. They have two children and two grandchildren.
