Melanie Lowther is a seasoned healthcare advisor and executive who is deeply attentive to the intersection of people, processes, and technology. She excels at quickly assessing situations, creating a shared vision, and translating that vision into action. Her leadership has driven transformations that involve a variety of roles from top-level executives to frontline staff. Melanie operates in ambiguous, complex, and fast-paced environments with a sense of urgency to deliver value and a positive experience for all stakeholders. Melanie has more than 20 years of healthcare experience building and implementing innovations, best practices, and solutions with 14 years in not-for-profit healthcare and payor systems. In 2023, she was recognized as a ‘Women Who Mean Business’ awardee by the Houston Business Journal for her outstanding leadership in healthcare. She is a trained Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma improvement methodology and holds dual BBAs from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, along with a graduate certificate in Healthcare Management from Rice University in Houston, TX. Her background includes roles at Texas Children’s Hospital as the Director of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Director of Healthcare Engineering. She also contributed her expertise as a Founder in Residence at Texas Medical Center Innovation and co-founded Taurus Vascular, a medical device startup, giving her a wide-ranging perspective across different healthcare sectors.
