T. Douglas Lawson, PhD, is a nationally recognized healthcare executive with more than two decades of leadership in large, complex health systems. He has a proven record of driving growth, improving quality, and leading financial turnarounds while fostering clinical excellence and community impact. Most recently, Lawson served as President of CommonSpirit Health’s South Region, overseeing 35 hospitals, 8,000 providers, and more than 40,000 caregivers across six states, generating $6.2B in annual revenue. He also served as CEO of St. Luke’s Health System in Houston, where he reestablished Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center as a leading academic medical center, expanded specialty rankings, and led a $1.5B campus investment. Lawson’s career includes senior leadership roles at Baylor Scott & White Health, Cabell Huntington Hospital, and Saint Luke’s Health System. Honored with multiple awards, including the Earl M.
