Bill has over 35 years of experience in the offshore and marine industry specializing on the arctic and cold regions. Mr. Maddock’s expertise covers the following disciplines and activities: marine and offshore design and operations, arctic sciences, offshore technology development, and business policy and strategy. Bill’s early experience encompassed a wide range of projects beginning with the design of the first marine structures deployed in the Beaufort Sea in the early 1980’s followed by many projects around the world including Greenland, Russia and the major Sakhalin l & ll offshore projects in the Far East. His responsibilities have included overall project and engineering management for marine structures including environmental data acquisition and environmental design criteria. His experience also includes multiple projects on the Grand Banks offshore Newfoundland where he was the QA/QC manager for the Hibernia GBS, engineering manager for the marine structures on the Transshipment Terminal and, more recently, as engineering manager for the GBS on the West White Rose project. Bill is an active representative on ISO committee TC67/SC8 for the development of new standards for Arctic Operations.
