Steven retired from Chevron in mid-2022 after being employed there for 15 years. Since retirement, he has focused on Energy Transition opportunities, such as supporting floating wind off the US West Coast and presenting this topic to interested parties, such as; SPE, BOEM, SUT and TAMU, At Chevron he concentrated on early phase offshore deepwater projects worldwide, typically as Engineering Manager, Subsea Manager or Consultant. Prior to joining Chevron, he was employed by engineering contractors and equipment manufacturers, where he was principally on project assignments, as Department Manager, Project Manager, Engineering Manager, Facilities Lead or Technical Expert for multiple offshore projects covering, conceptual design, pre-FEED & FEED, detail design, procurement, manufacture and fabrication, installation, and testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning.

My father owned and operated a Mobil Oil gas station for about twenty years. Hence, the thought of a world without gas stations is about abstract as it gets, but that is where we are headed.
