Orlando L. Alvarez, Jr. BA

For more than 30 years, Mr. Alvarez has served as a strategic advisor to health systems across the United States and Europe. His industry experience also includes leadership roles with the Cleveland Clinic, Sisters of Charity Health System and the University of Miami Health System. Orlando has led the development of strategic growth plans focused on gaining market share, development and implementation of strategic initiatives including re-branding and brand expansion. He has worked with faith-based, community not-for-profit as well as investor-owned healthcare organizations. He has successfully led many business transactions including divestitures, mergers, full-member substitutions, acquisitions, and corporate affiliations. Mr. Alvarez earned a B.A. from Bennington College in Vermont and is a fellow of the Hispanic Leadership Institute. He has served on multiple industry boards as well as many professional and civic organizations.
