Pete Stracke

Pete has over 40 years in the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry. He has dealt with many aspects of the business, with the largest share of his time spent on Subsea Production Systems. He has a unique perspective on the industry as he has spent half his career working in the manufacturing and service arena, and the other half for both small independent and major E&P Operators. Pete has worked with a very large breadth of responsibilities. On the service side from detailed design and manufacture, through testing, offshore installation, and EPIC turn-key management. On the Operator side from Facilities Lead, through Project Manager, Operations and Asset Manager. His duties have led him around the world and include key roles on two subsea developments at world record water depths. Pete has written in a number of trade journals, spoken to conferences, and was Chair for the Subsea Tieback Forum.

My father owned and operated a Mobil Oil gas station for about twenty years. Hence, the thought of a world without gas stations is about abstract as it gets, but that is where we are headed.
