John Elmer is Executive Vice President of Endeavor Management. He sits on Endeavor’s Board of Directors and oversees corporate development. John consults in the areas of marketing strategy, internal and external communication, and technology commercialization. He has deep experience in the oilfield service sector of the oil and gas industry. John Elmer joined Gelb Consulting, a strategic marketing firm, in 1984. He acquired the firm in 1999. In 2008 John accepted a 2-year assignment as Chief Marketing Officer at Ingrain, a startup in the oil and gas industry commercializing technology from Stanford University. John’s responsibilities included strategic marketing planning, sales force management, CRM system implementation, product/service commercialization, brand strategy and all aspects of marketing communications, lead generation, contracting and procurement support. In 2010, John became CMO of S2S Systems, an oil and gas reservoir modeling software firm. In January 2012, he sold Gelb Consulting to Endeavor Management. John has received professional certification as a management consultant (CMC) and in new product development (NPDP). John earned his M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Houston in 1984, and received a B.A. with honors in psychology from the University of Texas in 1980. John was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Houston College of Business Administration from 1989 to 1993.
