Dr. Christophe (Chris) Tam is a management executive with over 38 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with a particular focus on general business management for the engineering and construction of subsea production and transportation system projects. He has 27 years’ experience in R&D, engineering practice, project management and business management. He spent the last 11 years in subsea construction engineering and business management. Dr. Tam is familiar with the life cycle of subsea production and transportation systems capital projects from early phases of engineering design, material supply and vessel selection, establishing contracting strategy, tendering processes, and project delivery. He is particularly passionate about the use of design competition as a precursor to EPCI contract award. His Far East upbringing, European education, and work experience, together with 24 years of American and international business management experience make him particularly versatile and suitable for managing global business ventures and operations.
