Willem is a petroleum exploration and production professional, with a background in geophysics and petroleum economics and 38 years’ experience working in the E&P business. Positions held include technical, commercial as well as leadership positions. His experience included development of vision, mission, organizational goals and strategies, translation of organizational strategy into objectives and business plans identification, quantification and mitigation of business risk, portfolio analysis and management, project management., and decision analysis. He has also had significant roles in training, mentoring and leadership, having held various senior managerial roles, including General Manager of E&P, Vice President – New Business, and Chief Economist.
